I'M LEAVING THIS INFO POSTED FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO CONTINUE TO DONATE AS I PLAN TO RETURN AGAIN SOON.
Dear Friends and Family, I’m writing to share with you something amazing that God has put in my heart and has asked me to do something about. Six months ago our Pastor was teaching on the Bible verses in Matthew 25:44-46, “whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me.” My church was challenged to determine who are “the least of these,” and two groups of people were chosen for our church to make a lifelong commitment to. The first group is the young girls enslaved in the sex trade industry in Fiji, and the second group is the AIDS orphans in Malawi, Africa. I have been led to be a part of a team of 10 people going to Wailoku, Fiji to help in the construction of a village which provides a safe refuge for the rescued young girls and their children.Beautiful and exotic Fiji is a trap for child sex tourism. Thousands of tourists travel there each year to take advantage of young, naïve, and often poor children. These young girls do not know safe and happy homes. They are often deceived, raped, sold, and enslaved in Fiji’s thriving sex industry. When they get pregnant, they are considered a shame to their families and are sent away. Added to this misery are hundreds of young girls every year.Vision Abolition, a non-profit organization created by our church (www.visionabolition.org), and is partnered with Shared Hope International, an eight year old organization committed to this cause, and is building a Home of Hope in Fiji. A home that is dedicated to the rescue and restoration of girls trapped in this nightmare. The home is a safe place of redemption, healing, and new life. This 40 acre complex is already seeing lives being changed. Women and children who are used and vulnerable are finding their worth.Homes of Hope Village already houses 38 women and children and the number is growing daily. Women once fooled and forced into a life of sexual slavery are now getting an education. They are learning job skills and finding purpose at the five small businesses run in the Village. Some are even working to purchase their own homes on the Homes of Hope campus!

I’m planning to go on this short-term mission trip to Wailoku, Fiji near Suva. This project that Vision Abolition has partnered on with Shared Hope and our responsibilities on this trip will focus on the beginning stages of building a primary school. With a schoolhouse, Homes of Hope will provide a free education for the children of trafficking victims living in the Village. Each individual team member will need approximately $2,100 to fully fund this trip. Any funds that are donated will directly help us to cover airfare, food, lodging and local transportation, as well as supplies for completing the projects in the village at Homes of Hope. I have no idea how God will work to provide the funds for me, but I know He has something incredible to teach me while we are there and He will provide. I feel compelled to provide hands-on help to these very young women and children in Fiji. If you would like to support me on this mission trip, please make a check payable to Vision Abolition and send it to one of the two addresses below, whichever you feel more comfortable with. This is completely and totally TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Our mission trip is approaching very quickly, so we are asking that if you are planning on supporting me, please also drop us a note so that we can notify our organizers of the funds that are on their way.Mail Donations to;Vision Abolition
